Tyson Blood gets 3rd Grays Harbor Modified Win of the Season

4 time Washington State IMCA Champion and 4 Time Grays Harbor Track Champion Tyson Blood kept the momentum going with his 3rd win at the track and 5th overall in the 2025 season in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds.
Jake Sorenson would lead early fending off multiple challenges from, Brenton Schnitzer and on lap 9 Blood would make it 3 wide on the front stretch for the lead in a thrilling battle and in turn one Schnitzer would get loose trying to stay off Sorenson and spin and make contact with Blood and the infield tire and come to a stop for the only stoppage of the event. On the restart Blood would use the outside and go around Sorenson to take the lead and sail to victory. Jake Sorenson would hold on to second, Jeff Westergard would make a hard challenge from 10th and finish 3rd. Craig Moore would get by his son to finish fourth and Kyler Moore would round out the top 5. The Elma Lane hard chargers would be Jeff Westergard and Scott Miller (+7). Heat race wins early in the night would go to Jake Sorenson, Ben Gunderson, and Brenton Schnitzer.
With 5 races left for the Modifieds on the 2025 season Tyson Blood leads over Craig Moore by 22 points, followed by Austin Rognlin in 3rd, Brenton Schnitzer in 4th and Jake Sorenson in 5th.
Grays Harbor Raceway is part of the Grays Harbor County Fair on Saturday Aug 2nd where a ticket to the fair includes the races. IMCA Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Hornets are on the schedule with an earlier start time of 5pm.
